Earlier this year we asked you to donate towards our Care Homes, and you gave generously.
We thank you for your support of this vital service, but the real thanks come from those far from home cancer patients who are accommodated whilst they receive treatment.
One message came from Frans and Bella Nelson who live in Middelburg, but the CANSA Tipuana Care Home became their haven for several weeks.
Another is from Lwazi Mathivha who was also welcomed into the warmth and care that Tipuana provides. Lwazi is grateful for the holistic healing that she received in this tranquil and safe atmosphere, making her cancer journey so much better.
Unemployed, Lwazi says that she could never have afforded the transport costs between home and hospital for three weeks of radiation treatment.
Mike Furcey from Empangeni was another patient who was able to stay at the CANSA Mkhuhla House in Durban during his nine weeks of radiation treatment.
