The team at Miladys understand that living with cancer has extra challenges for many women in that their personal budgets are constrained.
Not only cancer survivors themselves, but also mothers enduring the trauma of children with cancer, or who have lost children to cancer should all be acknowledged, they said.
“They’re so focused on survival, that getting a gift of a dress is extraordinarily meaningful to them. We, at Milady’s want them to feel beautiful and feminine even during the most trying of times. And our customers responded to our call, donating almost 1000 gently worn dresses within just three weeks.”
For women already struggling to finance cancer treatment, including transport costs, the emotional toll can be overwhelming. Many of the women who are accommodated at our CANSA TLC centres or Care Homes arrive with only the bare necessities.
