Our young people care

It takes a long time to grow waist length hair, and 13-year-old Kaylee Bernstein was proud of her gorgeous auburn tresses.

So, when Kaylee’s aunt Helen died and Kaylee announced that she was going to cut her hair and donate it to CANSA so that a child with cancer could receive a wig, her family didn’t take it too seriously.

But Kaylee followed through.  After her hair had been washed and dried there was a moment of emotion as Kaylee waited for the cut.  But her mom was there to give her a kiss of encouragement.

Thank you for caring and sharing, Kaylee.  And for being an inspiration to others who might also consider donating their hair.
